Light-filled Torquay home renovation

This stunning home renovation completed in Torquay included spaces such as the living space, kitchen and bathrooms. The result was a gorgeous light-filled home, suited for entertaining.

Using natural materials and a neutral palette the living room is an inviting communal space at any time of day. The custom black butt trusses and fire place are focal points in a light and bright space.

Micro cement has been used on the fireplace hearth renovation, again reflecting techniques used throughout the house. The trusses draw your attention to the height of the room which, coupled with the texture of the lining boards and exposed rafters, makes this space feel large and luxurious.

An open, light and spacious kitchen renovation is perfect for entertaining and producing warm, hearty family meals. Three skylights above and a large window behind the sink mean this kitchen is always full of light during the day.

The separate butler’s pantry was designed to accommodate the storage needs for this family and has meant that we were to create a more streamlined and open kitchen space. Tile splashback and micro cement tie in seamlessly with the fireplace on the other side of this room.

Using a neutral colour palette, natural stone tiles and micro cement, the newly renovated bathrooms exude light and space.

Brushed gold fittings and the timber helps to soften the space, bring warmth and personality. The curved walls and rounded edges of the bath and basin in this bathroom renovation reflect the architecture throughout the rest of the house and again, using the same materials and techniques allow for continuity and flow from the living areas.
